The Gulf of Morbihan
When the sea carves a path through the land, it creates the Gulf of Morbihan. Discover this unique feature of nature, less than an hour from your accommodation.
At the heart of this small inland sea, charming islands await you. Among the most iconic are the Île d'Arz, the Île aux Moines, and the Île de Gavrinis. Each offers a different, yet equally remarkable, heritage.
The essentials of the open sea
Belle-Île-en-Mer, Houat, and Hoëdic are three islands off the Quiberon Peninsula. Accessible by boat, they are desirable vacation destinations: enchanting setting, family atmosphere, and a gentle way of life. Enjoy an excursion to one of these small islands to appreciate their charm.
To visit these islands, board a boat with the Compagnie Océane. Check the crossing schedules on their website.
The Barre d’Étel and its semaphore
The Barre d’Étel is an underwater sandbar located at the mouth of the Ria, a river valley invaded by the sea. While it is a natural wonder for visitors, it is a challenge for all sailors who take this route.
It is the Plouhinec signal post that allows sailors to safely enter the Ria. It is the last civilian signal post in France.
The Alignments of Carnac
You can't miss the largest megalithic complex of this type in the world. Located in the towns of Carnac and La Trinité-sur-Mer, these four sites are unique. More than 3,000 menhirs make up these alignments.
Only ten kilometers separate you from these places of interest, which contribute to the region's reputation.
